Attestation is a process of document legalization so that they can prove their credibility. Whereas, the Mofa attestation is a stamp from the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs as a given proof of the credibility of the documents that are provided. The MOFA is carried out after the authentication of documents from the embassy and other departments, which determines the value of the attested documents. We as professional service providers perform every step with keen interests so that there is no obligation for the candidate to be present in the country personally.

Procedure:

To get more attestation, all the original documents must be attestation or apostille first by the assigned authority/department in the state from where it is issued. In the case of personal documents, Home Department/General Administration Department is responsible. In educational documents, the documents are first authenticated by the Educational Department of the concerned State Government/Union Territory. The Commercial documents are first signed by the Chambers of Commerce; the MOFA attests the document based on the signature of the designated authorities. Hence, the MOFA doesn't take any responsibility for the document's content.

Commercial Documents:

Commercial Documents first need to be attested by the respective Chambers of Commerce before these can be attested by the Ministery of External Affairs.

Apostille:

India is a member of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961, which demolishes the requirement of legalization of foreign public documents. Apostille is acceptable in 98 countries that are members of the Hague Convention. Apostille can be under for all personal documents including birth/death/ marriage certificate, Affidavits, Power of Attorney, etc., for educational documents including degree, diploma, matriculation, secondary level certificates, etc., for commercial documents Export Invoice, packing list power of attorney, etc.

Documents required for Educational Certificate Attestation or Personal Certificate Attestation for MOFA Attestation:

MOFA is only done on the original documents that are authenticated by the designated authorities of the State Governments. Whereas, the apostille is done on the reverse side of the original documents. The candidate must need to submit the following documents with fees.

• Original document to be attested or apostilled;
• One clear photocopy of the document
• One clear photocopy of the passport

How to get the MOFA Attestation?

The documents can be submitted on our “Collection & Delivery” counters between 09:30 hrs and 1900 hrs from Monday to Saturday excluding holidays. Documents can be deposited personally or by courier and delivered only after the production of a receipt for payment of service charges. In case, the documents are found fake or forged at any stage, then the documents can be seized by the Ministry of External Affairs. Moreover, the Ministry can take appropriate legal action against the applicant without any refund of any fees or service charges paid to us. The fee is not refundable in any circumstances.
